Over Bed Table – General Specification

1. Purpose

   • Designed to provide a convenient surface for patients in bed to place meals, books, laptops, and personal items.

   • Easy to move, height adjustable, and stable.

2. Material

   • Frame: Mild Steel (MS) tubular structure, epoxy powder coated / stainless steel (SS).

   • Top: Laminated wood, ABS plastic, or stainless steel with smooth, washable, and anti-scratch surface.

3. Top Surface

   • Rectangular shape, smooth finish.

   • Size: approx. 750 mm (L) × 400 mm (W).

   • Rounded edges for safety.

   • Sometimes tiltable (for reading/writing).

4. Height Adjustment

   • Adjustable with manual screw, ratchet, or pneumatic gas spring mechanism.

   • Height range: approx. 760 mm to 1050 mm (±10%).

5. Base & Mobility

   • C-shaped or U-shaped base for sliding under the bed.

   • Mounted on swiveling castors (50 mm – 75 mm), at least 2 with brakes.

   • Base with protective cover for durability.

6. Load Capacity

   • Should safely hold 15–20 kg distributed load.

7. Finish

   • Epoxy powder coated (minimum 50–60 microns) / stainless steel polish.

   • Corrosion-resistant and easy to clean.
